Alice's Trail Waggin Pet Services

Angela & Alice - owner/operator

Alice and I are a dynamic volunteer team! We've worked as a Therapy Dog Team with St. John Ambulance Canada, Community Outreach Team with the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue and currently volunteer our time with the Fredericton SPCA Kids Camp. Alice just recently passed the The Canadian Kennel Club Good Neighbour test and is nationally recognized. I rescued three cats and a dog from Provincial SPCA.

An educated Veterinary Technician, worked & volunteered with small and large animal Vets in NB as well as NS. Attended an internship at the Atlantic Wildlife Institute, a pet supply and nutritional adviser with both Global Pet Foods NB and Animal Essentials, worked as an Animal Attendant/Animal Control with the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue, founded/developed Cat Rescue Maritimes - SJ, and was its Director for three years, (on top of owning & operating Trail Waggin'), worked full time at All About Animals Environmentally Responsible Pet Grooming & Supplies, and was a grooming instructor for the University of New Brunswick Fredericton. I have over 11 years of experience with all breeds, sizes, shapes, ages, and temperaments of dogs and cats.

Trudy has always had a huge love for animals. She has had the pleasure of having dogs and cats her entire life. She has worked at the Fredericton SPCA as an Animal Care Attendant. She has experience in caring for animals with Diabetes and Special Needs. She is a member of Fresh Start Dane Rescue Inc. of Atlantic Canada, where she also serves on the Board of Directors. She is owned by 2 Great Danes (Detour and Jewel), a Poo-pom ( Shadow), nine cats (Angel, Cooter, Precious, Shermie, Jingles, Ozzy, Slink, Callie and Bubs) - All rescues! Trudy has a real love for anything with 4 feet and fur!

We're very pleased to introduce you to our newest outstanding team member, Caitlin.
Caitlin has a natural way with animals and considers herself to be "living the dream" by being able to work with and surrounding herself with animals on a daily basis.
She has had very cherished and unique experiences of working with animals. One experience in particular was when she helped abused and abandoned cats and dogs at the Lanta Animal Welfare in
Koh Lanta, Thailand, last year.
While working at the Welfare, Caitlin developed a calm assertive demeanor which led to the six different dog packs accepting and trusting her. She was often selected to work in the sick dog area. She would often be heard singing comforting songs to them.
When moving back to Canada, Caitlin landed her dream job, working at a dog and cat boarding/daycare, Paws for Love, in Windsor, Ontario.
It was here where she furthered her experience, education and understanding of dogs while studying their language when working in a pack of sometimes up to 50 dogs at a time!
Caitlin recently moved to Fredericton with her senior husky, Sandy and German Shepard mix (she jokes the mix is coyote), Sunakh.
She is now working part-time at Lovely Doggy House - doggy daycare & boarding, and is very enthusiastic about bringing her diverse experiences to Alice’s Trail Waggin Pet Services.
Caitlin looks forward to meeting many more of your furry friends and maybe even singing them a song, or five!

We're excited to introduce you to another addition to our outstanding pet services "team", Natalie!
Natalie hails from Sunny South Africa. She is an absolute animal enthusiast, and has grown up surrounded by all sorts of pets: dogs, cats, ponies, pigs, birds, rats, Guinea pigs, lizards and spiders.
Her absolute favourite animals are pigs, the bigger, the better. Natalie has adopted multiple dogs and cats with ‘troubled’ pasts or training issues, and is accustomed to dealing with animals that need a little extra patience and understanding.
Back home, Natalie has a brood of four: two pigs, Edie and Wednesday, and two dogs, Pilate (bull terrier), and Julie (pitbull). Really, they’re four pigs. It isn’t unusual for people to hear Natalie chattering away to her furry friends, listening to their news of the day, and their opinions of the current parliamentary debates. She loves throwing her pets mudbaths, rubbing bellies, and frolicking in the garden.
Natalie has volunteered as a foster parent for CARMA Cat Rescue Maritimes Fredericton Chapter.

Kyla has always had animals around. Cats, birds, dogs, fish, and hamsters, not to mention living next door to a horse growing up. The trend hasn't changed after moving to Fredericton from Cape Breton. She is a regular volunteer for the Fredericton SPCA, her love of animals knows no bounds.
She currently lives with 5 cats (Patches, Storm, Fuddy Duddy, Garr (seen in photo), and Maggie) and would have more animals if she could. While she attended High School, and throughout University she provided pet services for family and friends in order to fill her world with more animals. She has experience with special needs animals, and thinks of them as having unique "quirks".
